Diamond painting uses the same DMC color codes as cross-stitch, so any DMC drill kit matches this chart. Each symbol marks where one round drill goes. Work color by color, darkest first, and keep the cover sheet over the unfinished area so the adhesive stays tacky.

How to make your Dragonite diamond-painting

  1. Print the chart, then lay it on (or beside) a blank adhesive canvas — the chart is your color map.
  2. Match round drills to the DMC codes in the drill legend and sort them into the tray by color.
  3. Work one color at a time: pick up a drill with the wax pen and press it onto the matching square.
  4. Keep the cover film over the area you’re not working on so the adhesive stays tacky, and press finished sections flat.

Diamond-painting FAQ

Round or square drills?

This chart uses round drills (2.5mm). Round are faster and more forgiving for beginners; square give a tighter, fully-tiled look. Either works — just buy the type you prefer.

Do I need a pre-printed canvas?

Our chart is a symbol guide, not a pre-glued printed canvas. Pair it with a blank adhesive canvas (or a DIY sticky surface) and use the chart to place each color.

What are the DMC codes for?

Diamond drills are sold by the same DMC color codes as embroidery floss, so the legend on this page doubles as your shopping list.
