About NinePocket

An independent resource for collectors who organize and display their Pokémon cards — built around the idea that a binder is as much about beauty as completion.

What NinePocket is

NinePocket is an independent resource for Pokémon card collectors who care about organizing and displaying their collections. We cover binder organization, card sets, the Pokédex, the illustrators behind the art, trainer characters, and free printable templates — plus tools like a binder layout planner and a custom card designer. The name comes from the classic 9-pocket binder page that defines how most collectors store their cards.

Why we built it

For a lot of collectors, a binder is half storage and half display — closer to scrapbooking than to spreadsheet-style completion. People curate art cards into beautiful, themed pages as much as they chase sets. We built NinePocket around that idea: the artists, the artwork, and the display ideas are front and center, not an afterthought. Whether you collect to complete a Living Pokédex, to build color-flow pages, or to shrine your favorite Pokémon, the goal is to help you do it well.

How we make our content

Our set, card, and Pokédex pages are built from public data sources — the Pokémon TCG API and PokéAPI for card lists, artwork, and Pokémon details, and TCGplayer for live market prices. Guides and artist write-ups are researched from well-documented, public information and written conservatively: when something isn't verifiable, we don't claim it. Card values change constantly, so we link out to live price data rather than freezing a number that would go stale.

Our honesty stance

We don't post fake reviews, invented testimonials, or made-up star ratings. When we show a real collector's work — like a hand-stitched piece made from one of our craft charts — it's genuinely real, not an AI mockup. We recommend products we believe fit the job, and we're upfront that some links are affiliate links (see our disclosure). The trust of collectors is the whole point of the site, and it's not worth trading for a click.
