Pokémon made of clay
Morii doesn't paint or draw — she sculpts each Pokémon out of clay, builds a little set around it, and photographs the result. Every card is a tiny physical diorama, which gives her work a texture and depth no flat illustration can match.
The most unusual page in any binder
Because the technique is so distinctive, a page of Morii cards stops people mid-flip. They read as 3D even through a sleeve, and that novelty makes them perfect as a feature spread or a 'how is this a card?' centerpiece.
A craft that spans eras
Her clay Pokémon first appeared in the early-2000s e-Card sets and she has returned for modern releases. Collecting old and new side by side shows a handmade craft surviving in an increasingly digital game.
Build a binder page
A Morii page is a conversation piece — the cards look 3D even flat. Group several together so visitors realise they're looking at photographed sculptures, not illustrations.
Collector tip
Her e-Card-era clay cards (Expedition, Aquapolis, Skyridge) are the classics, but she's returned for modern sets too — a mixed page shows the technique held up across 20 years.
